Hearo is the only name pronunciation app you’ll ever need! In today’s global business environment, you’re constantly meeting new colleagues, customers, and partners from all cultural backgrounds. Earn and keep their respect by saying their names properly. With its large collection of recorded pronunciations of names from around the world, Hearo is here to help you.



We work with language experts to make sure that the pronunciations are correct and make high quality recordings to ensure that they’re easy to learn. The v1.0 app currently has over 2,400 names, of Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, and Russian origins. Our database is expanding every day – Indian, Spanish, African, and Hebrew names will be coming soon!



The app itself is simple: Search for a name and click on it to play the recording. If you are unsure about the spelling, you can filter the list of names by several criteria (first or last name, male or female, ethnicity) to help you find it. You can also choose names to search directly from your contact list, which has been integrated into the app. For names that you’ll need to review (say, before an important client meeting), you can add them to a Favorites list for quick access. We’ve also included a list of your recently played names if you need to go back to listen again. If the name you searched for isn’t in our database yet, you can send us a request to add it and we’ll get it in there as soon as possible.
